Where are your datacenters physically located?
All our servers are in ISO 27001 certified datacenters in Falkenstein, Germany. Secondary backup vaults sit in Nuremberg. All data stays under German and EU law (GDPR/DSGVO).
Where is my data stored?
Your files, databases and mailboxes are stored in Falkenstein, and their backups in Nuremberg. Both are in Germany. We use Cloudflare for DNS and DDoS protection; details are in our data processing agreement.
Is the hardware different on the cheaper plans?
No. Every plan runs on AMD EPYC™ servers with DDR5 ECC memory and NVMe Gen4 storage in RAID 10, behind the same redundant 10 Gbit/s network. What changes between plans is how much of that hardware is reserved for you: your own kernel-enforced CPU and RAM quota on Shared, or a fixed number of dedicated vCPUs and gigabytes of RAM on a VPS.
How is my site protected against DDoS attacks?
Every plan sits behind Cloudflare, which provides global DNS, CDN caching and DDoS filtering at the edge. Attack traffic is dropped there, before it reaches our Falkenstein network, and legitimate visitors are served from the nearest edge location. It's included on every plan at no extra cost.
How do backups work, and how long do you keep them?
Backups run automatically every 24 hours and are copied to offsite vaults in Nuremberg. We keep them for 7 to 30 days, depending on your plan. You can restore one with a single click in the client portal. Or just ask support to do it for you.
Who looks after the servers?
Our own engineers. They set up your environment, keep operating systems and packages patched, maintain the firewall, run the daily backups and respond to monitoring alerts 24/7. You never have to touch the stack. When you want to, a browser terminal is one click away in your control panel.
